This work, inspired by the British poet, painter and visionary William Blake (1757 - 1827) draws upon Browns' own symbols as background to a central male/female fused figure.There is some reference to the landmark known as Old Man Rock, a nook of natural stone, and a Southland feature on the Foveaux Strait coast where the artist was living.

Other key symbols, often seen in Brown's works, include the heart, moon and native ponga tree. The text border is typical of a unique format developed by the artist over more than forty years.
