The beat goes on in this latest post cubist work by British born artist Patterson Parkin. Choosing a soft palette of silvered blues, lavender, grey, green and muted gold, Patterson introduces notes of dark charcoal, anchored by a patterned, geometric foreground. The subject of the painting, a double bass, reverberates before our eyes as small, stylised hands strum the strings. A tuneful composition indeed.
