The dual talents of highly acclaimed oil painter, Michael Blow and leading watercolourist, Ted Sherwen combine to create an exhibition of quality. Sherwen takes the gentle art of watercolour to new heights with his economy of line. No wasted brushstrokes here, but colourful narratives of travel, object d'art and everyday life, often enlivened by the artist's humour. Scottish born Sherwen, based in Auckland since 1974, regularly travels and paints in Europe and the United Kingdom. He has exhibited consistently throughout New Zealand since 1987. Awards received include a Bronze Medal from the Glasgow College of Printing and the Williams Award for Painting and Drawing.

Kelliher Award winning artist Michael Blow began painting professionally in 1975. After gained a Diploma of Fine Art at Elam he continued his training at the Sir John Cass School of Fine Arts in London. This was followed by painting trips to Africa, London and Paris with works being exhibited at Wellington's McGregor Wright Gallery. May 2003 saw a successful exhibition of 30 works held at International Art Centre, and a major solo exhibition, European Moods in 2005. This latest offering of twenty paintings showcases traditional oil painting at its best. Paintings of opulent refinement, and varied subject matter are guaranteed to delight and inspire.
