This work expresses a love of form and shape. The frothy, curly shapes of the Grevillea contrast well with the sharpness of the simple red enamel jug which in turn links with the red in the striped, softly undulating folds of the fabric. The unadorned plate as backdrop gives structure whilst linking the objects. I was looking for an understated, almost bucolic feel in this work and one which is strengthened with the use of simple bright colours and textures. - Judy Drew
