A collection of seemingly disparate and contrasting elements randomly placed together are intended to capture reflections within the beautiful silver pot and sugar bowl. The intense deep maroon/black of the plums captured in the polished silver, creates a design element and their luscious round shapes, a sharp contrast to the metallic reflections in the pot. The beautiful Japanese fabric becomes the link between all the objects. This work is an exercise in contrasts - all set within the limited pallet of blues and deep maroons.
