Behind the Scenes - Anselmi Italia

As the official opening of Anselmi Italia 2010 draws closer it is fun to look back over the preparations for this bi-annual event and revisit previous shows featuring the works of our six Italian based artists. Paintings are selected from studios in Venice, Milan, Umbria and Naples. Serious business always culminating with a celebratory meal and glass of prosecco. How gratifying to eventually see these same paintings beautifully framed and displayed in our Parnell gallery. When exhibiting in the South Island, Christchurch's George Hotel is the venue of choice. Anselmi Italia 2007 saw International Art Centre receive a wonderful welcome from their many valued Mainland clients. The 2010 exhibition, held in our Parnell gallery sees Franco Anselmi fly from Venice for the opening preview evening. Another cause for celebration.
