Coast to Coast

Coast To Coast, the artist's ninth solo exhibition, is inspired by the endless diversity of New Zealand's 15,000 kilometre coastline. From Northland's Cape Reinga, where land ends and the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean unite, to the awe-inspiring alpine scenery of the South, Williams excels. New Zealand, a land of such contrasting coastlines, gifts the artist with a wealth of subject matter and challenges. The sheltered, sandy white beaches of the East Coast are an artistic world away from the dramatic scenery of the rugged West . Born in the South, now living in the North, the artist has a wide knowledge and deep passion for the landscape of his homeland.

Of this exhibition Williams says: "I've particularly enjoyed creating works for Coast To Coast as it has given me such a wide scope of new subject matter as well as the opportunity to re-visit regions I have not been to for many years." This exhibition featuring over 35 new works promises the viewer a pictorial journey of joy. Hung throughout boardrooms and homes world wide, the contemplative beauty of a Williams' original quiets the mind and refreshes the soul, reminding us of what we love best about New Zealand.
