Good things take time. This week we farewelled one of the finest New Zealand paintings offered this year - Charles Frederick Goldie's 'Serenity' 1904 - This fine work, on the market for the first time since 1975 sold to a new owner who will treasure and enjoy their recently acquired masterpiece. 'Serenity' featured on the cover of our July catalogue. Gretchen Albrecht's 'Mango Slice' from our 10th November auction also found a new home this week, sure signs that astute investors looks towards art as a long term investment and something to be enjoyed and give pleasure in uncertain times.

Check out young artist James Watkins latest painting 'Memorial Hall, Summer Night' - a stunning iridescently coloured oil on linen on view in the gallery and measuring 30 x 160cm
