Auction was held 10 April, 2018

National Treasures from the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Collection with Important & Rare Art

After spending more than a quarter of a century on long term loan to Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa has instructed International Art Centre to sell works from her personal collection. This unprecedented offering includes three major paintings by Charles Frederick Goldie along with other Australian & New Zealand works of art by Frances Hodgkins, Felix Kelly and masterpieces by Arthur Boyd and Lloyd Frederic Rees.

With total sales just under $4million, three new art auction records achieved, International Art Centre is delighted to report a hugely successful evening for the Treasures of the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Collection & others. History was made, as it was the highest total for any mixed vendor sale in New Zealand art history. All results now showing next to each lot. If result not showing, painting is either still under negotiation or for sale.
