Animals in Art

As our fellow companions in life and art, this exhibition honours the special relationship between man and the animal kingdom. Featured works include contemporary bird paintings by Wyoming-based Nicola Marshall, the fantasy realism of Jasmine Middlebrook and from the Whanganui studio of Timon Maxey, cubist compositions of pastoral New Zealand.

Andrea Mazzoli of the Friuli-Venezia region, north-east Italy, sends a collection of his unique mixed-media panels of goldfinches and sparrows. Graham Kirk's major work, Rupert Bear and Bill Badger above Backbeach awakens the inner child. Further paintings by leading artists, Eugenea, Brian Dahlberg, Patricia Payne, Don Packwood and the bronzes of Mike Norris create an exhibition infused with energy and connectedness to the natural world.
