Can you help us identify the location of this painting?

This Charles Blomfield (1848 - 1926) oil painting measuring 42 x 65cm is what appears to be a North Island coastal settlement. We would be grateful if someone can assist us in identifying the location which was originally thought to be Thames but we are now uncertain. If you can assist us please email us your suggestions info@internationalartcentre.co.nz

Thanks to all who emailed us about the other image (pictured) which was originally thought to be Lyttleton. An old inscription read 'Lyttleton' but we had our uncertainties. We wondered whether it was an early view of Port Nicholson, Wellington and since then it has been confirmed that it is in fact a view of early Wellington featuring the 'Plimmers Ark' building centre right. It will be sold by auction, unreserved on 29 March

This early watercolour of Wellington will be offered 29 March
