With a sale total just nudging $4million, our April catalogue saw the highest auction result for a mixed vendor sale in New Zealand history. Top price went to a C F Goldie painting from the Dame Kiri the Kanawa collection at $922,000 with another work making $594,000. The auction saw two notable new art auction records for Contemporary artists - Karl Maughan $98,000 and Nigel Brown $27,000.
